JAPAN BONUS 9: A Very Special Dinner

I was supposed to post this bonus earlier, but I forgot.  These are photos from the Kaiseki
dinner Linda and I had in Kyoto.  Kaiseki is a very special, traditional, multi-course dinner
served in a very traditional way.  We sat on tatami mats and then we were brought several
courses of fine Japanese food.  I photographed each course, except one, the persimmons,
which I only forgot because I ate it too fast. :/

This was the first plate. Various seafoods and veggies i've never seen before.  All good.

Fugu.  Very good.  This was our first taste of real Japanese sushi (sashimi rather), btw.

This was a kind of soup that you poured into a small bowl, and then squeezed the key lime juice into and
then you drank it.  Very good.

Awesome miso soup.

Here is an example of the bell that you ring for service.  Very cool feature of Japanese dining.

This was a very nice, pleasant, relaxing and filling dinner.
