People always ask us, "why are you going back to Japan again?" The answer is simple. Because we miss it! Just like anywhere you have been that you really enjoy being, when you leave, you long to return. There are many places like this for us. Places that we simply enjoy, like the Mendocino Coastline or Puerto Vallarta. They are just places that make you happy, entertain you, and never get old. There are so many things, if you are the right kind of person, that Japan offers that you can't find anywhere else in the world. It's these things that keep us coming back.

| At the bookstore I ran across a mook with one of my all-time favorite Japanese characters on the cover. |
| The one and only Dr. Gori! |
| Cool painting. |
| This was big. |
| I love how Japan revels in their famous monsters. |
| Okonomiyaki place. |
| Okonomiyaki is something you can only find outside of Japan in a few big cities. And it is by far one of my favorite Japanese foods. It's stuff like this that keeps you wanting to go back to Japan time and time again. |
| Street view. |
| I wish I would have gotten a better photo of this truck. |
| Izakaya food. |
| Pizza bites. |
| This was weird, cold roast beef and potatoes with sauce. |
| Gyoza always hits the spot. |
| And a word on Izakayas. We actually ate at three or four Izakayas
during this trip, and I have to honestly say, they were mostly
underwhelming compared to previous trips. I am not sure if we just
picked some crappy ones, or what, but the food selections were not as
good as we remembered. However afterall, it is the Japanese equivalent
of crappy bar food, so go figure! |
