Day 17 - Hakone Round Course

Now into our 3rd week in Japan, I was feeling it. It's weird waking up in hotel rooms and realizing, "wow, I'm still here". It is a strange and cool feeling, to be detached and far away. Anyway, for Wednesday, we had a non-shopping day planned, which was good. There is only so much burning money you can do before you start to worry yourself. Despite this, it was still an expensive day!

Hakone is a really nice tourist destination where you can catch glimpses of Mt. Fuji, enjoy a sky high ride through the mountains in a cable car, and even enjoy a boat ride.
Fuji-san, is not unlike Mt. Rainer.  It is magical and fake looking, and it looms above the clouds waiting to blow.

Fuji-san in the distance.
Does this mean exit into the volcano?
Lots of geothermal activity here.
Fun.
Rinda.
Our ship awaits. We nearly missed the last boat!
Another Japanese pirate ship going the opposite direction.
This is a shot taken with hte new camera while on the cable car up the mountainside.
The new camera also has silly little built in frames....like this one.
A fine selection of Japanese energy drinks at your local 7/11.
LOLs, after the boat docks, you have to take a bus back up to the train station. We got on, and there was nowhere to sit, so Linda sat on the step for the middle door with her sake from 7/11. She was not happy. A few stops later, a shitload of people got off and we got seats and enjoyed the rest of the 45 minute bus ride back to the station. We actually got on the wrong bus that took the long way, but it was interesting to ride a bus in Japan.
That night we found this awesome Chinese place called Xi'an. It was exactly what I was looking for.
The entire table of people behind Linda was smoking like chimneys.
Time does not have a welcomed effect on me.
Super good spicy chicken and dumpling soup to die for. Amazing.
Awesome shrimps too.
Afterwards we were a little tipsy and headed into an arcade. Here I am playing Tekken. Titties.
These were cool robot fighting games with a controller on the left and a mouse like controller on the right. Lots of nerdy dudes rockin out on these games.
