Yes, I know it is weird, off the wall, etc, but I like Isuzus. Just outside of Tokyo, there is a place called Isuzu-Sports Eagle. It is a car shop specializing in vintage Isuzu cars, and it is probably without a doubt the only place in the world like it.
| Red and black Bellett. Just one of many gorgeous cars sitting on the Isuzu-Sports lot. |
| After a few mix ups on the train, we made it to Hamura Station, which is the closest station to Isuzu-Sports. |
| Finding an Isuzu passenger vehicle in Japan, is about as hard as it is easy to find Isuzu work trucks of all varieties. |
| Getting closer. |
| Love the little Suzukis. |
| Ready to race Toyota Supra/Celica/Somthing? |
| The Isuzus popped out as we walked up to the lot of Isuzu-Sports. Another creamy 117. |
| I like the older 117s with the round lights. |
| Yikes!! This Piazza is toast! |
| Much better in black. |
| These 90s era Geminis were never very attractive. |
| Same for these late 80s ones, we call I-Marks here in the States. |
| This is the car I wanted to bring home. |
| What's that Datsun doing there? |
| I think dark green is the best color for the old Belletts. |
| Freshly restored Bellett. |
| Orange also works quite well. |
| Vintage Isuzu logo. I would like some of these stickers. |
| The shop owner, Koji Okane-san was very nice and invited us in for some coffee. He told us about his "dai-dai" Bellett. |
| Talking was difficult, as usual, but we muddled through it. |
| He sent me packing with some posters of his car and a few other goodies. Sadly, I could not take home the NOS Piazza muffler he offered me! |
| Back to the train. |
| Totally exhausted, we decided to make it easy and hit Ooze Charm. |
| Fried squid. |
| Pizza and pasta. |
| Red wain. |
| Toe socks...I think I like them. |
