¡ m e X i c o !

Linda "won" a trip through work to spend four days on the company dime
in Puerto Vallarta.  I don't think I have ever went to any country with more
of an open mind than this trip to Mexico, largely because I know nothing
about Mexico...and I expected nothing.  Now I know more than I have ever
known and I want to go back about as much as I want to go back to Japan,
but for many completely different reasons...

The first of our four days spent in Mexico:

At these all inclusive resorts, apparently the alcohol starts flowing the moment
you get your wristband.  Here I am already feeling the booze.

The lobby ceiling at the Riu Palace.

The Riu Palace courtyard.  Yeah.

Violet anyone?

The first day we just relaxed and had dinner with Linda's co-workers that
were also there.  Mexican coffee on fire.

Unlike in most US hotels and resorts, the stuff in the mini bar is included too.

The next day we woke up at noon which was quite nice for a change. We set
out and had a nice lunch buffet to get started.

And then we walked north along the beach...the whole way this Chihuahua was walking with us.

Cool sea birds.

This poor puffer washed up on shore. I picked him up and he was still trying to breathe.

Carefully I walked him out back into the water but he just washed ashore again. :(

As per usual, I like seeing vehicles. So you are going to have to deal with a lot of
car and truck pictures again.

There were VW bugs and Things everywhere.  I've never seen so many in one place.

Sad lazy dogs were as common as chickens around the streets.

We walked around leisurely for a few hours, and then stopped at this outside bar/restaurants and
knocked back a few in the shade and breeze. Very pleasant.

Linda.

Cool painting I liked.

Cool doorway Linda liked.

Linda's house.

Funny.

The 12 year old in me got a chuckle out of this.

Don gato.

Green Thing.

On our walk back another interesting fish was washed ashore.

More drinking.

Linda and Randi.

More Mexico pics coming soon!!
