which was good. Once we got to the creek crossing (which one can normally just hop
over) we realized that we were going to have to have to take off our shoes and socks
and wade through. With so much rain and snow, the creek was raging and full. Once
we got across, we dried off on a rock and then hiked up the steep hill to the lake basin.
This was the first time I've seen the lake this full.
Hunter S. Broski.
While hopping along these rocks, I made a bad decision and lept to a rock
with a vertical slope. I don't know what I was thinking, but upon landing, my
feet did not stick and a scraped the hell outta my shins and knees. Ouch.
In the picture the rocks don't look so big, but they are actually massive and
sharp.
Aside from some tadpoles, this frog was all we saw herp wise.
