Monterey Weekend Trip

So this past weekend we drove over to the coast again.  This time a little farther south to Monterey Bay.  We drove in on Friday night from Reno  It was a 5 hour drive.

And it was here, in this blighted place, that he learned to liveagain . . .

...this is a trail about 5 minutes away from home.  Its cool because there are several wrecked cars along the way.  A perfect wasteland setting...

So, we spent the last weekend of 2006 in Santa Cruz and the surrounding area.  While we had a lot of fun, Linda and I were very surprised and left quite disillusioned by the plethora of RULES, REGULATIONS and PROHIBITIONS that seemed to be around EVERY corner just about EVERYWHERE we went.

So now I am out west.  I have camera gear, props, ideas and a setting to die for...but no one to work with.  Its VERY frustrating.  Why is life so off balance all the time?

San Fran Week End...

Here are photos from this weekend.  We drove to San Francisco on Saturday Morning.  We stopped at Kimono My House  first, and then went towards the beaches on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge.  Our first stop was Muir Beach.  The scenery is amazing.  Yes, those are starfish.

New Rims and Tires at Pyramid Lake...

Here are some photos from today.  I finally got the new rims and tires I have wanted for a long time.  We drove out to Pyramid Lake to photograph the VX, the Dolls and the CeCe.

Here are some shots from the rim trail around the north end of Lake Tahoe. This is the same trail I did with my pops 2 weeks ago.
