A quick snake trip...

Went over the hill for a day to see what kind of fall snakes we could find.  We went
to a place that has never let me down.  For the first 4 hours, we got completely
skunked, everything was dry as a bone and there were no herps to be found
anywhere.  At the very last spot, the road of uber snakiness came through and
provided this little beauty.







A little tongue.

That was the only snake we found, unless you count this:

And a couple attempts at more HDR. I'm still doing something wrong, can't quite figure it out though.

    wish we had that kind of uber snakiness here in the great whtie (N)

    did see a python & a boa this wknd at the pet store though...;-)

    Actually, I bet you might have some neat animals in the winter up there. Hognose snakes probably, and lots of garters...not sure about it though.
