Moab 2008 - The trip begins

So Saturday we left for Moab to celebrate our anniversary, while at the same time attending
the Moab ZuZu '08 event.  The Reno VX Convoy left around 6am, and headed east for six hours
across HWY 50.  Here we are in Austin, NV (about half way to The Great Basin National Park)

Another shot while parked in Austin.

We arrived to GPNP around 1:30pm Saturday afternoon, set up camp, and headed into Lehman Cave to look
for Man-Bear-Pig.  We did not find him, however Linda managed to get a few nice shots in the darkness of
the Netherworld.

After the cave tour, I poked around the campsite a little, and found two Great Basin Skinks.

The scenery within GPNP is exquisite and consistantly beautiful.  I miss it already.

After spending some quality time with the Macro Lens, the sun started setting so we all just hung around
the camp fire and ate and drank.

Good times...
