So tonight I set out to find the source of the ribbit I have been hearing from the lake next to our new development. I pulled on the rubber boots, strapped my headlamp on, grabbed my dip net and set out. This is what I found.
I really can't believe there are frogs here in Reno. Pretty cool. Linda does not like "frog hands".
I think you would punch me if you found out all the things I have done to reptiles when I was younger. What I told you about the rattle snakes was just a sample.
Though it goes back to taking things for granted growing up where I have....
People do a lot of dumb shit when they are kids. I have known a lot of kids who killed snakes and frogs for no reason. Personally, I have always loved animals, so I try to not to harm them. Though I have inadvertantly killed lots of stuff over the years I am sure, not to mention the fact, that just by being a human, our daily lives are spent consuming at the expense of animals (the whole planet for that matter).
