On Sunday morning I went to a Reptile & Amphibian swap in Puyallup, WA.
I bought several supplies needed for the proper keeping of my Mata Mata that is on
the way.
The Puyallup Fairgrounds was pretty wierd and old. It looked like an old farm property that was
converted into an amusement park and exhibition hall. But who knows.
The best part about it were the trough style urinals in the restroom. Its been a while since I have seen one
of these.
The Reptile show was cool. Lots of neat critters. Mostly snakes. But there were also quite a few
chameleon setups. Below is a Panther Chameleon I caught right before he shot his tongue out and
snatched up that cricket.
Of course I was there for turtles. Below are quarter sized Stinkpots. So cute.
My favorites though were the baby Razorback Musk Turtles. Only $15 each. I want.
After the show I went south to Portland to visit the Poonerator. Check out my awesome Chevy Cobalt rental
parked in front of Chuck's pad. Gotta love that hideous orange paint job.
Chuck and I ate some pizza and drank some beer and played pool. I slaughtered Chuck in over 15 straight
games of pool. He had no chance and eventually gave up on the brink of tears.
After a few hours of chillin' in Portland, I drove back up to Seattle and went straight to bed.
On Monday I flew back to Reno, but took one final parting shot of Seattle in the morning.
You were in Portland? You do know that I would have a bought you a large and frosty beverage of your choice and blessed you with my company, if I had known!
ReplyDeleteYeah...
ReplyDeleteJust for a minute though....about 5-6 hours to be precise, visiting with my old pal Chuck from Chicago. I was working in Seattle and shot down from there on Sunday. I wasn't initially sure if I would have the time, but work went smooth on Saturday. Actually, you and Chuck would probably get along. We ate at some Naked Pizza place and then drank at the bar just down from there. I forget what it was called...Burn something or other. My memory is shit.
Did you friend me or did KP tell you about me visiting Portland? She told me to friend you so I can read about your work stories.
Congrats on the marriage! You should read my last post, lots of "soda pop" stuff in there.
:)
Re: Yeah...
ReplyDeleteI totally understand how the time crunch goes. Perhaps another time!
I friended you a while ago, so I could look at pictures of the neat stuff of which you take pictures. My work stories are sometimes more interesting than others, but feel free to enjoy them if you like :)
Re: Yeah...
ReplyDeleteCool. You have a morbid, yet totally cool job. I fix computers all day, which is extremely boring usually...
I told Linda she should have a Dollpa at our new crib in the spring, you guys should caravan down for it...KP needs some dolly friends in Reno.
:( Bart

ReplyDeleteBrandy's stories are awesome (fascinating to ex-goths ahahah), her last trip was to Klamath Falls.
