DAY 2 and DAY 3 in Seattle...

So on Saturday I came into the office and switched over the server.  Everything went fairly smooth, but there are a few issues that are pretty annoying.  Anyway, at lunch time Saturday I took another long break and headed back up to the International District.  I went to a couple more stores, like this one called Pink Godzilla:

It was cool cause they had all sorts of awesome old school games and systems.  I bought Linda a Pink Godzilla shirt. I hope she likes it.  The next photo is from the store front of International Toys.  A typical store selling Gundams and anime shit:

Then I just decided to eat some more sushi from Uwajimaya.  I got some sushi and some more weird Japanese drinks and also these rice deserts:

These were pretty good and chewy and thick.  Me and my pops ate them when I got back to the office.  He drove up from Portland to meet me in Kent where the office is located.  We dicked around with the server for a little while and then went downtown.  We wandered around in the rain for a few hours and then got some food here...

...which was really good.  It was across the street from here...

...which was really funny.

From there we walked up to the space needle.

The space needle is alot smaller than I expected.  After this, we were both pretty tired so we just walked around for a little while and then went back to the hotel.

The next day we got up and went to the Sci-Fi Museum.

It was actually pretty cool.  A lot of original props and stuff from some of my favorite movies.  The next few shots are from the museum, where I eventually got scolded to for taking photos...

After the museum, we walked back to the car.  I saw this on the way and thought it was cool:

Then we headed out east of the city in search of a trail to hike.  We ended up near Mount Si.  I stopped on the side of the road to take this picture.  Its hard to tell how big and pretty the mountains up here are.  They are covered with mist and green...

We even drove by a spot where we could see mountain goats climbing around up there.

We eventually found a spot to hike.  People are funny:

The next few shots are from the trail.  It was really wet and muddy, but really lush and beautiful.  We hiked up for an hour and then came back down.

After the hike we were pretty hungry so we went back into Seattle and found a place to eat called The Crab Pot.  They just dump a whole bunch of seafood on your table and you eat it.  The pile of food was decent, but the calamari was the best I have ever had.  It wasn't like normal calamari, it must be from some different kind of squid because it was really big and tender.  I can't wait to take Linda hre since she now likes calamari too..

After dinner, we drove back south to the hotel.  On the way the clouds and rain broke up just enough to get a glimpse of Mount Rainer.  This mountain is huge and doesn't even look real...

So then we got back to the hotel and my pops left to go back to Portland.  I watched Batman Begins and then went to sleep.  Now I am back at work waiting to leave for the airport....
