Reconnoitering the PNW - Part 3

After leaving Seattle, we drove south again, back through Portland and down to Corvalis, where we departed from the horrid traffic on I-5 and drove west toward the Pacific Coast. This drive was insanely beautiful from the get-go.  We arrived in Newport, Oregon for dinner. I was immediately in love with this place.  It has a very similar vibe to the Fort Bragg area of California, which I am also in love with. So, if we end up moving to Washington, I can have this on a more regular basis, as it will only be about three or so hours away.
Newport is misty, foggy, chilly and dark. Just the way I like it.
You really feel like you are in a different place here.
Everything about this makes me happy.
Calamari tubes at one of the best seafood restaurants we have ever eaten at, called simply, Local Ocean Seafood.
My platter of ridiculously fresh and delicious sea creatures.
Linda's fish plate.

This is my kinda beach. No people, no sun.
Linda.
The Trooper took us everywhere.
The Trooper likes to travel.
After camping a night we drove south along the coast into California.  We had lunch here after we got past Crescent City.
Cool plane.
Cool sign.
On our way we saw some elk, including a cute baby.
Trooper-desu.
Elk are pretty cool, a lot bigger than deer.
This looks fake, except it's not.
The north coast of California is so incredible.
Yup, seals. They make me tired just looking at them.
Linda.
Watashi-wa.
Cool rock.
Bug juice.
Campsite.
The tent rocks.
I could drive on roads like this all day.
This is the bay in Trinidad, California.  The picture hardly does justice to how picturesque this scene was.
Another angle.
Linda in Trinidad.
A nice Trooper spotting on the street in Trinidad. This Trooper has OEM fender flares and snowflake rims, indicative of the rare "wide-tire" option from the factory with upgraded gearing. Pretty cool.
Here is our dinner in Trinidad.
Lindas.
And a pile of fried shit and chowder. Man, I was full and sick after this.
Plus cobbler.
Me, sad our trip is over somewhere in California.
