Hitting the road instead of the turkey...

This year, we just needed to get outta dodge for a few days.  We loaded up the new Trooper, and drove in a south-westerly direction to get outta the cold.
This would be highway 50 south of Lake Tahoe somewhere...
Beautiful open road.
CeCe and Luigi in the back seat nesting the drive away.
Our first stop was Plymouth for some lunch.
CeCe sat on the chair like a nice girl.
Grapes.
The"new" Troop.
We also find a nice old cemetery.
Mr. and Anna Bacon.
Cool stone.
I took many black and white 3200 speed photos here. It felt like high school...getting back to my roots.
Then we arrived at Camanche Reservoir for a two night stay.
This was our camping spot.
We pretty much had the place to ourselves.
Me and my boy fishing.
Luigi does not understand fishing.
I caught naught.
Linda's portable hammock.
Forced perspective.
After Cammanche, this was our campsite in Santa Cruz...which sucked.
We found a dog friendly place to eat though.
Weird.
Cool house on the beach.
After Santa Cruz, we drove down to San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach.
Good boy.
View from our Best Western.
CeCe is curious.
Panorama.
Nice sunset.
More food....Calamari steak.
More food...artichoke filled cakes.
More food....fookin' prawns, man!
Thus concludes another trip report.
