The infamous Tuna Head:
I've been drawing lately with my new pen (a Mitsubishi felt tip from the Stationary shop in Japan Town).
The below set of drawings are actually stickers. I've been using discarded UPS labels, drawing on them,
putting clear box tape over them, and then cutting them out. After several attempts, I was finally able to
draw a decent picture of Milo. His complex morphology made drawing him difficult.

ReplyDeleteSome of your drawings look like Noh masks. That is the type of mask I would collect if I had money.
Yeah, Noh masks are way cool. I like Japanese folklore, demons and legends. One of the drawings is based on the Hannya Oni...cool stuff. Noh masks (real ones) are usually way expensive. But they would be cool to collect if money was no object...
ReplyDeleteI dont know how to tell a real from a fake but the ones I have looked at are anywhere from 300-1000 bones.
